A message from Anna McMorrin MP & Julie Morgan MS
At the public meeting back in February in response to the flooding in Whitchurch, we promised to hold another meeting with NRW as they weren’t able to attend in February. Unfortunately plans for this meeting had to be put on hold due to the Coronavirus pandemic. As restrictions started to lift, we requested a socially distant site visit with NRW at the Melingriffith feeder/water wheel. NRW weren’t able to accommodate this at this time, so offered a meeting via Skype where three residents from the worst affected roads could attend and put forward questions on behalf of themselves and their neighbours. This meeting was held recently and was very productive.
Please find the notes of the meeting below and feel free to share these with friends and neighbours who might also be interested in the outcome of these meetings.
NRW are keen to continue to meet with us, and we will be having a further meeting shortly. NRW have also committed to attending a full public meeting when it is safe to do so.
We are keen to hear the views of everyone who was affected by the floods in February and would welcome any questions you have that can be put to NRW at the next meeting.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Anna & Julie
