In an evidence session of the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee, Anna McMorrin urged the BEIS Secretary of State to support the UN Chief’s calls for a six-point climate action plan and a green recovery to the coronavirus pandemic.

The time is now to rebuild a more sustainable, resilient world and transitioning away from a fossil fuel driven economy. It is often the poorest and most vulnerable communities overseas who bear the brunt of climate injustices, despite not being large carbon emitters. For many in the poorest countries, this pandemic has been compounded by years of climate injustice and inaction and risks further entrenching inequalities and undoing decades of crucial international development work.
